During this evening event at Restaurant Hermans, conference participants will have a chance to meet and network with colleagues within neuroscience and brain-research. Sit back and enjoy the music, when top artist and famous jazz singer Cæcilie Nordby teams up with professor at Center for Music in the Brain and jazz musician Peter Vuust, the well-known and skilled pianist Nikolaj Hess and the amazing drummer Morten Lund who is known from several records.
Cæcilie Norby is one of the best-selling jazz musicians in Europe and has won several awards. Her voice is soft, calming and strong at the same time, and together with the three other musicians this night will be one to remember.
During dinner Peter Vuust Trio will continue to play jazz for your brain.

In 1927, Hans Rising built a ceremonial hall as an extension to Tivoli’s beautiful pavilion. The ceremonial hall later became the Tivoli Theatre, which has been home to countless performances of lighter genres as well as vaudevilles and revues over the years. In 2012, the theatre was demolished since Tivoli Friheden wished to offer the garden’s guests bigger and better cultural facilities. This was made possible in 2013 with Hermans’ construction. With respect to the past, the architects behind Hermans have let themselves be inspired by the wood pavilion’s binding work. High espaliers reach towards the sky in a triangular shape as a new interpretation of the pavilion’s curved windows. Hermans’ foyer offers views of the big open-air theatre in the garden and the tall oak trees that have helped make Friheden one of the most beautiful places in the Marselisborg Forests for hundreds of years.
Hermans has its own popular kitchen where the philosophy is honest food prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. In combination with the kitchen’s pure love of food, extensive experience with fine dining and an experienced staff, this ensures an evening where taste is in focus. At Hermans and Tivoli Friheden, they wish to take care of people and environment. That is why they are always working on ways to find more green and sustainable solutions. For example, their food waste is collected as bio waste, they are replacing all of their light sources with LED solutions and compensate for their energy consumption in both Hermans and Tivoli Friheden by buying electricity from windmills.
